Lil Snupe's career ended before it could really get started, when the up-and-coming 18 year-old Louisiana rapper was shot and killed in a still unsolved murder. Despite the fact that Snupe is no longer with us, his music lives on in tracks like "Meant 2 Be," the lead single off of a new posthumous project entitled R.N.I.C. II: Jonesboro.

The track, which features fellow Louisiana native Boosie Badazz, finds the two rappers speaking on the real-life issues of growing up in the hood. Snupe leads the track off with a verse, speaking on his experience of being in juvenile detention, while Boosie handles the second verse, and Snupe takes on the last verse. Snupe also takes on the hook. The track is a bittersweet reminder of the potential that the 18 year-old rapper had before his life was tragically cut short.
