K’Valentine, Talib Kweli, Cory Mo And NIKO IS Reps The Culture In “Boomerang” Video

For those who may not know, Talib Kweli is the founder of Javotti Media, an independent label focused on a more traditionalist's approach to music (in other words, there are no Young Thugs here). Cathedral is its upcoming project, and "Boomerang" is a cut off it. K'Valentine plays lead as Cory M, NIKO IS and Kweli help him out.

As noted on the hook ("Quality over quantity"), the quartet put their skills up front as their slick-tongued styles meet the twangy guitar riff. The video's concept is just as loose as the song's: Bridging gaps — regional and generational — through rhyme.

Cathedral drops on Nov. 7.
