Only a couple weeks after dropping "Parental Advisory," the oldest member of TDE is back with another banger. Jay Rock is back with his latest joint, "Pay For It," featuring Kendrick Lamar and singer Chantal. The track's production is dark and brooding, providing a great backdrop for Jay Rock's gravelly voice and hard-hitting rhyme style. Jay Rock takes on the 1st and last verse, while Kendrick takes on the 2nd verse, and Chantal takes on the sung hook. The track employs heavy themes of religion, with Jay Rock referring to the Bible verse of Isaiah 54:17 when he says "no weapon on me shall prosper" and Kendrick referring to "chapel[s]," "tabernacle[s]" and the "book of Matthew and Jesus," among other things. The album's cover art, which features a black cross, may be another nod to the religious themes of the song.

With Isaiah Rashad, SZA, Schoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul all having already dropped albums this year, it looks like Jay Rock is up next. Bump "Pay For It" above. The track is available for purchase on iTunes here.
