Perhaps one of the greatest tragedies of this generation is how many don't realize how crazy it is they live on the same planet as the piece of human spectacle known as Prince. Sahtyre doesn't have that trapping. The West Coast rhymer samples Prince classic "Thunder" on his latest track, "Prince Thunder."

Sahtyre doesn't ride the sample as a gimmick though. He transforms the power funk into a mentally frayed jam — the guitars mimicking some sort of drug trip. He isn't interested in the boogie either: "Watch who you speaking to, before you end up leaking get beaten blue and purple don't take it personal." Did he just fit another Prince reference within a violent threat?

Sahtyre should have more material on the way. His LSD (The Prelude) mixtape is always available for a listen, though.
