With history repeating itself with the police-civilian tensions over in Ferguson, Mo., TDE President Punch decides to drop a history lesson with two new tracks. A running theme in black history is how everything is connected, and that could explain why Punch is able to flow smoothly from the project window view to ’60s turmoil and the crack cocaine epidemic on “Prelude.” Some historical clips play as Kool & the Gang’s “Summer Madness” rolls along on “1965.” Get some knowledge before turning up for the weekend above.
