The New York scene sub-25 scene has become a bit more crowded since former XXL Freshman Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era crew broke out in 2012. Bobby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga" is almost unquestionably the biggest thing to come out of Brooklyn these past few weeks where Joey Bada$$ has been quiet (save the short film, "No Regrets"). It doesn't look like he's willing to let Shurmda's buzz quiet his movement on "Big Dusty," the first single off B4.DA.$$.

There's been a debate on whether Bada$$' '90s influence is credible or simply derivative. "Big Dusty" is more in line with the former. The young rhymer's grit is very noticeable as he spits over the sinister piano loop provided by Kirk Knight.

B4.DA.$$, which also features production work from Hit-Boy, should be on the way later this year.
