Goldlink Tour

There aren't many songs and artists around that come as eccentric as GoldLink in "Ay Ay" — its accompanying video emphasizes that. The idiosyncrasies get pushed even further on U.K. producer Stooki Sound's remix. If the original felt a bit too sinful (it's kind of hard to take it out the video's booty-shakin' context after you watch it), the faster pace should make for a playlist addition.

The remix keeps the original's bubbly bounce, but it pushes the tempo further for a more exhilarating effect. With the commanding vocal samples and that BASS (caps lock necessary), Stooki Sound reimagines trap sans the urban wasteland context while doubling up on the dance floor-worthy urgency.

The original version of "Ay Ay" — also a necessary listen — is a cut off GoldLink's The God Complex, which dropped back in April. Read a bit more about him on The Come Up.

Some fans won't have to just experience a recorded version of GoldLink. The rapper will be touring throughout August. Check out his schedule above and his July performance at MoMA PS1 below.
