Raekwon “Stop Tripping”

Horace Brown’s “Trippin'” is an underrated bedroom jam that dropped in ’96. It’s also the sample for Raekwon’s second entry of his Throwback Thursday series. The Chef waxes over the track’s velvet instrumentals, and of course, his remix isn’t really a bedroom jam. Raekwon’s details run just as lush as the production as he details the view from a limo, a trip to Las Vegas and relationship issues.

Raekwon will headline Brooklyn’s Hip-Hop Festival on July 12 (the festival runs from July 9-14)  and is prepping his sixth solo album , F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art)for a Sept. 16 release date.
