Mike Stud Goes For An Inspirational Run For “Closer” Video

Mike Stud is known by many as an artist on the rise after Relief became a surprise success by hitting No. 1 on the iTunes Hip Hop Albums Charts. He’s also an All-American relief pitcher who used to play for Duke University. That piece of his biography is alluded to in his video for “Closer.”

The James DeFina-directed clip finds Stud in deep contemplation before he throws a pitch and goes out for a run. As the inspirational track plays in the background, Stud pauses periodically (including for that always necessary stare at the sun on the beach) for some quick thought.

“Closer” is the Louis Bell-produced opening track off Stud’s upcoming LP of the same name, which drops on July 7. He’ll also be touring through the summer starting on July 10 at Philadelphia, Penn. His full tour schedule can be read here.
