Common’s “Kingdom” Video Is Inspired By The Hardships Of Chicago

Common releases a powerful visual for his single, “Kingdom,” which features Vince Staples.

In the Hype Williams-directed video, Common and Vince Staples aren’t the focal point, but rather a young teenager who is hustling in the Chicago streets trying to survive. Throughout the seven-minute clip, we get familiar with his story and follow it all the way until the tragic ending.

The track will appear on Common’s Nobody’s Smiling that is set to arrive on July 22.
