“Bow Down/ I Been On” is one of Beyonce’s most experimental tracks. She sings over a glitzy beat produced by Hit-Boy and Timbaland, before it switches to the second part that’s heavily drenched in a chopped and screwed sound. Then, King Bey gives us a mishmash of heavenly singing and aggressive rhymes. For example, the hook explains where she sees herself among the competition: “Bow down, bitches. H-Town, bitches.” In the end, she shout outs Pimp C and Willie D of the Geto Boys, which'll most likely give her respect from any Southern hip-hop aficionado. Ride that trap rap wave, Bey.
