It’s never easy to step beyond the shadow of a father figure, who’s so pivotal to the rise of an entire region. E-40′s seed, Droop-E, attempts to follow the now family tradition, and elevate the Bay Area hip-hop mantra to a higher plateau, bringing a very different flavor. The smoothed-out jam that’s “N’ The Traffic” proves such notions, as Droop displays an effortless delivery (with slight hints of Curren$y influence), which rides over the beat like butter. The correlation to the visual’s unclear, but it’s worth a glimpse. Check it out above.
