Flip I bought the album, it’s on point my nigga. All you gotta do it’s bring the right single’s out, because the cd can carry the weight if you drop the right singles.

All discussion about Flip aside, XXL does terrible writing in it’s reviews. It’s the same damn stock material recycled about a few songs and then a discussion about the news the artist has been involved in.

You could probably read that review and not even know whether it’s a good album or not, what songs are good or bad, or whether there’s anything particularly interesting or useful about it. All I would get out of it is that he had beef with T.I., some random adjectives about songs, and who produced it followed by mindless quotations. come on man.

This album surprised me. Definitely worth the buy! Love starched & clean ft Lil Keke and Playas for life ft chamillionaire, among many others…. this was a bad review IMO.

I bought the album and my favorite tracks are starches and clean , take u there, we goe make it out the hood, Sorry Lil mama, and Single mother, there is definitely some hot shit on this album.

this just shows the east coast bias of this magazine. It used to be tight but now it sticks to rappers with largely mainstream focus. No speak of the fact that the album already has at least four videos or the versatile subject matter. Sometimes I wonder if the reviewer listens to more than the singles and the features, maybe 2 and half hours was too long. A “horrible” few years for flip? How about dozens of mixtapes with original and barrowed beats to regain his underground base? Not to mention the fact that his major album is twice as long as any other material coming out these days. Its a sad day when a storied publication falls to popular thought in ATL with less acknowledgment of the real facets that constitute a successful album.

I actually read this magazine quite regularly, however I notice the ridiculous amount of bias that takes place towards certain artists. XXL has given less than decent artists good ratings but Lil Flips an L. That’s crap it has nearly fourty songs with great features and offers reggea, rock, screwed and chopped and dance songs. This magazine should consider that as an ability to make hits from multiple genres, which very few artists are capable of.
