Do you fools understand its 2010 and this dude improved on his last album sales and has maintained roughly the same first week sales over 4 years in a time when album sales have dropped overall by about 15% a year consistently, and catastrophically overall since about 2004. if it had been another week he´d have been #1 almost garaunteed. you get #1 albums with 60k sold. just depends on the week. eminem is an anamoly. he transcends normal rapper and artist boundaries. he could record an album of the sounds of him pissing in a toilet and sell 100k plus for 10 weeks on end. he in no way represents the norm. rick ross has maintained interest despite constant haterism, especially fueled by the whole ´keepin it real´ debate. look at 50´s sales from roughly the same period: The Massacre: about 1.4 mil to Curtis: 660k to Before i Self Destruct: about 187k. and that aint even hatin on 50. but lets get serious. rick ross´sales consistency is nothing if not impressive and extremely rare
