It was interesting to read what Nas had to say about his September release date. And Jay’s release date. Now everyone knows that things are cool. And we know now that they recorded “Black Republicans” in the studio together. But the song wasn’t strong enough for their first (and you never know, possibly last) track together. I heard no real chemistry in that track. I was expecting both of them to breath more life into the mic. Nas was right, that track was on some rap shit, but New York shit would have been better. I wish we could see a “The Big Apple” or “Kings.” Man, these niggas need to quit playin’. And a reality show, maybe, but I wouldn’t do it. Nigga ain’t broke. I mean, maybe he feels that he needs to be on T.V. more, but, shit, give us a powerful video and everything’ll be straight. But other than these words, out.

I think Nas has finally grown up. I mean he’s always been a step ahead of the game at either way you look at it. No matter if you’re a J, Pac, Big, L, Kiss or a Wayne fan you have to respect him just as much. And even though I’m not a real big Nas fan, I’m antisipating his next drop. I also think marriage, beef, and the reality of life has caught up with him. I mean just cause you got money and fame don’t mean you gonna be happy. Look at Kirk Cobain. Anyway, on the other hand Nas is going to be great because that’s what Legends do, great things. I’m not riding or anything but I think Nas’ next drop will be nice because he’s nice. If you respect this, you respect HIP-HOP. Real HIP-HOP…….

I never even liked Nas, but after that interview, he seems like a cool person. I’m not much for his music, cause I’m FOREVER on Tupac’s team (breathing or dead), but like I said he seems like a nice enough guy. I hope he finds success with his new album.

Nas newest album “Hip Hop is Dead” I would have to say from growing up in the BX and seen them all(from Big Daddy Kane to Biggie) and heard it all….”Hip Hop is Dead” is a hot album…5 mics….what stands out about the title is that he addresses and show’s leadership…because it all started with two turntables….now it has transformed
and become big….but like everything everything comes to an end..so on that note i think he wants people to know that don’t let die…spark a nerve and inspire…but “carry on tradition”….a king is a humble man, not to compare him to a divine person, but he is the King of NY….Jay Z came to dethrone him, but he ate him up with “Ether”… I respect Nas cause he gives recognition to the people that inspired us all….”can’t forget about u”…..MC SHAN, KRS 1, MARLEY MARL, RUN DMC, ETC….that is greatness….whether he sells 5 million copies…..jay Z can’t hold his jock strap…..but I love JAY Z too…what i like most is that “Black Republicans” showcase to great MC’s together…..and I would like to see a positive outcome…and although the game is bigger than them…..let us not forget what happen to Biggie & Tupac….may this madness never exist again but rather reflect on two great MC’s Nas & Jay Z battle it out, and now making tracks together and I forsee a album in the near future…that will eclipse all hip hip record sells that we have known to this day……yeah HoVa & N…..make the great album….ya fans will love it…..I’m out
