People need to understand that the MTV hottest list is not about skill. It’s basically “which rapper is likely to generate the most money for the labels.” I think the reason Em and TI are not on the list is because the labels are pissed at the action’s they’ve made that fucked up their money. TI’s in jail after releasing a very sucessful album that he could have promoted or produced a follow up this year. Em probably pissed the labels off by fucking up Mariah’s sales up after their fued. Maraih was looking to be apart of this “Diva’s return” along with Whitney and Mary J Blige. But since Whitney’s vocals are smoked up and Mary having little buzz, They were probably hoping Maraih to still sell well until Em point out her whorish past and how dense her husband is. It’s not like the beef helped relapse numbers. Those execs probably felt Em was more of a hazard now in this pop dominated industry than their savior for sales. Trust me in time MTV is going to try to do as little as possible with Em or else some other pop artist gets fucked over.
