The ORIGINAL HEBREW/ISREALITES were of a darker hue and we would call them black.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that the anti-Jewish/anti-Semite synonymous word association is erroneous because, over all those thousands of years since the diaspora, they have retained some characteristics of their appearance in the time before and immediately after Christ. Because we cannot forget that Jewish families have traditionally been completely opposed to miscegenation outside of Jewry (yes, I have always believed that they are a race)…so to claim that the Jewish gene pool from Christ’s time is so depleted that “anti-Semite” is a misnomer is kind of stretching a historical trend much farther than it’s actually gone, IMO.

Got mad respect for your intensive research and well-explained post though, props my dude.

The original Jews are not black. They were semitic similar to arabs. And ancient egyptians were not black either. That’s something American blacks made up for some bizarre reason. Probably to compensate for having been removed from their original african culture. And it is commonly brought up by so-called “black hebrew israelites” and people like louis farrakhan who distort and make up history for racist reasons. Regardless of how many black people repeat it, it is known to any legitimate scholar to be false. But you can pick up lot’s of books about Jewish history, Jews are one of the earliest documented civilizations. Don’t take history lessons from rap blogs or youtube comment sections and don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Black people you have your own rich culture from Africa, please do not try to steal someone else’s. It is extremely disrespectful. Judaism is a great religion, if you want to convert to it then you can do so formally. Please stop this nonsense. You would not like it if I claimed Africans stole all of their culture from someone else. Have some respect for other groups of people if you expect any for yours.

@o-h-i-o, no doubt that the darker features could have come from that semitic heritage, but spaniards, italians, greeks, portuguese, and people from southern france are darker skinned with dark curly hair and dark eyes and aren’t semites. these features could have just as easily come from them. i’m not saying that there are no jews with semitic ancestry, a good deal of the jews in israel and most of the jews of the middle east are of semitic descent. i’m just saying that most of them don’t have it, or have so little that to call disliking them anti-semitism is wrong, when the majority of semitic people are not jews. and jews have intermarried on a large scale in the past, especially in the mediterranean. most spaniards and portuguese people have some jewish blood from these medieval unions. and the jews aren’t a “race” because judaism is a religion and there are jews of the negro, caucasian, and asian races.
