• DJ Jazzy Jeff Drops Free Michael Jackson Mixtape

Monday Oct 26 10:55 AM CDT posted by xxl staff

DJ Jazzy Jeff has linked up with clothing company Undrcrwn to release a mixtape honoring the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

The tape playfully titled, He’s the King, I’m the DJ, references Jeff’s 1988 album with Will Smith, He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper. It is currently available for free on Undrcrwn’s website and features many of Jackson’s classics as well as rare songs and new remixes.

In addition Undrcrwn, who has collaborated with Asher Roth and Mos Def in the past, are selling a limited edition t-shirt promoting the project.

In related Jazzy Jeff news, the Philadelphia-bred turntablist is featured in DJ Hero as a playable character. The video game hits stores tomorrow (October 27). —Elan Mancini
