Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio “Polo” Molina turned himself into authorities yesterday (June 22) and now faces one assault charge after celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was allegedly attacked in Toronto on Sunday.
According to The Hollywood Reporter news of the incident at the Soho Metropiltan Hotel following the Much Music Awards was made instant, with Hilton using his Twitter account in hopes of alerting authorities. “I was assaulted by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards,” he Tweeted at the time. “I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”
The attack was rumored to be the result of an on-going feud between Peas member Fergie and Perez. According to both parties, will.i.am stepped to Hilton at the hotel, which lead to Molina allegedly assaulting the gossip blogger.
Hilton and will.i.am both took to the internet on Monday issuing their sides of the story for fans over several video clips, with the BEP’s frontman denying blame for Hilton’s beatdown.
Peas manager Molina is scheduled to appear in court on August 5 over the incident. -Devin Chanda

I know that Perez Hilton can be an ass sometimes, but that doesn’t give somebody the right to assault him. I always believed that two wrongs don’t make a right. I do believe that Perez Hilton does have a right to sue and press charges, though. Polo Molina is facing some serious crap right now. If Canadian prosecutors choose to charge him with an “indictable offence,” Molina could face up to five years in prison, or, if they opt for a lesser “summary offence,” he could serve 18 months. Plus, if the prosecutor’s office here in the states wants to play big shot, they could charge Mr. Molina with a probation violation charge in relation to a previous DUI arrest and Mr. Molina could spend another 6 months in an US jail.
