I like Sticky and it’s an interesting idea but I don’t know how viable it actually is…

I love the Kirk Jones album and I think it’s criminally slept-one. When I said, “viable” I meant that it may not make the impact that it should…
I hope I’m wrong though.

I hear you P. But at least he has good actors in this. Sticky wasn’t bad at all in “Blade”. This will probably be one of those cult DVD’s.
Hopefully waaaaaaayyyy better than Belly2.

Sticky still hasn’t learned from the Black Trash debacle. That record was crap. Anyone who actually like that album is either blind, crippled, or crazy.
Concept albums in hip-hop do not work.

what do you mean by “work”? If you mean it wont move much units then your right. Anything that takes brain power to create something unique doesnt really move units. I mean really… who ever thought of being creative and having skills?
Prince of Theives (Prince Paul) and Black Trash (Sticky Fingaz) are great works of art. Anybody who disagrees must like the shit force fed to you on the radio.

This will be something to see for the summer. I hope he is playing a different role this time. Black People get caught up doing the same gangsta movies. People need to see something different.

Fools always think of Hip Hop as “Hard Beats and Hard rhymes, Nice Metaphors and Similies, Great story telling”- never mentions acting though. This is something done from a 1st time writer in Sticky putting something on the screen, why not support it ? We have no idea how this is gonna sound. I’m intrigued to the fullest, especially with the cast he has brought together. The Wiz, Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago and now this. How can you you hate ?

This is all cool.
Had a dope idea for something similar years ago (11 to be precise) but could never get it off the ground… thing is, didn’t Carmen - the Hiphopera (with Mekhi in it?) do this same thing?

This is going to be crazy!!! I’ve been waiting for this to drop for a minute now. The trailer looks superb. It was a matter of time before this was going to come together because Onyx and Sticky have been making songs that tell stories and play like a movie in your mind for years now. So all you real hip-hop catz out there with enough brains and appreciation for something of this magnitude ya better get up, get out, and show a little love and support. Ya dig!?!?!?

what excuse are you talking about?
somebody said the movie wont work and I simply explained that real creativity and skills are not marketable in todays “dumb it down” hiphop. Which is why it wont work, but a hiphop purisr such as myself would definetly check it out.
