Add New York City to the growing list of major cities Drake has shut down. The Toronto MC rocked a sold out crowd at famed Manhattan club S.O.B.s last night, as part of Hot 97’s “Who’s Next” concert series.
Drizzy treated concertgoers to standout cuts off his critically-acclaimed So Far Gone mixtape, including “Successful,” “November 18th,” “Sooner Than Later,” “Best I Ever Had,” “Say What’s Real” and “Uptown” for which he brought out Bun B.
Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Ryan Leslie, DJ Green Lantern, The Alchemist, MC Lyte, BET’s Stephen Hill, Warner Music Group CEO Lyor Cohen and Warner Music Group COO Julie Greenwald, were all in attendance for the performance.
With his short solo run over, Drake is currently in talks for a megatour later this summer. “God willing, if everything goes according to plan and everybody’s schedule is in place, then I will be on tour with some amazing people,” Drake told Musch Music earlier this month. “One of them being Jay-Z, one of them being Lil Wayne, one of them being Young Jeezy and one of them being me.” - Marvin Brandon
