Despite all the hype for the Slaughterhouse, I am going to let loose one big yawn. Why? Because it seems anytime somebody comes up with an idea such as this it never lives up the potential generated. Does anybody remember the The Firm Album? Beats by Dre: check, Three Hot MCs [Nas, Cormega & AZ]: Check, Buzz: Double Check, Hot Single [Phone Tap]: check and the result… a disappointing affair that will live in infamy for years to come. Now yes, sometimes some artists have such incredible chemistry that it’s a solid venture [Meth & Red] but many more times these “great” ideas never make it pass the studio and the ones that do are many times just average [see: Best of Both Worlds]. You see many times you can have great chemistry on a single track but to build an album with more than just freestyles and clever wordplay you have your work cut out between not just internal chemistry but with that of the producers who are tapped to bring life to the venture. The point I am trying to make is throwing 4 independent artist together in a room and locking door doesn’t mean when they exit they’ll leave a classic in the room. If Jay, Eminem, Bun B & Snoop did a album or Nas, Common, Scarface & Kanye did one - IT DOESN’T MEAN IT WILL BE AN AUTOMATIC SUCCESS. Now, I hope they can prove me wrong but I highly doubt they will. There are to many X-factors that have not been taken into consideration that makes this nothing less than a 10 dollar gamble that I don’t want to place Either way, I would not expect bang up sales… just [hopefully] a solid XL Rating.

Slaughterhouse is the best individual/together like Voltron groups in a long time that have real cred. A West Coast group like that would be Strong Arm Steady.

We are talking one of the best since 2000, not trying to compare to groups over 9 years old.
For example I love the Westside Connection but lyrically these 4 make fire songs, and you can find 5-10 of them out in the last 4 months online. Undeniable.

Lots of little groups in each region that make a decent album. But they haven’t been reknowned to the levels of these four and done their own thing for so long PRIOR to coming together. A LOT of groups individuals never built up their brand solo prior to doing the group. If you hate on Slaughterhouse then you aren’t trying to listen to the best coming out right now. It means you want the bullshit radio feeds you.
