The legacy of Big lives on triumphantly as Notorious took the top spot in Nielsen’s DVD sales chart in its debut week, beating out the likes of critically acclaimed The Wrestler and tween favorite Twilight, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Executive produced by Diddy, Biggie’s mother Violetta Wallace and former manager Mark Pitts, the biopic has grossed about $36 million at the box office and an additional $6 million overseas to date.
Notorious tells the story of the legendary Brooklyn rap star’s rise to fame. Starring Jamal Woolard, better known as Gravy, as the lead, the film also features Angela Bassett, Derek Luke, and Anthony Mackie in prominent roles. – Devin Chanda

I haven’t listened to his mom’s comentary but the Directors sound foolish.
I love big and thats the only reason I support it but it could havebeen done better the writer is talkign as if he did somethign grand, they have 4 guys talking and not sayign shit.
We’ve seen interviews, documentary’s, tv special of his life, the movie brought nothing new to the table.
I went to see it in theatres and I bought the DVD so who cares I guess…. I just think they should have dug deeper with his life and not bit Get Rich Or die Tryign so hard

The movie is good but you know how hip hop fans are. They think you can fit every single day of that mans life within 2 hours and complain about every little thing instead of giving it the props it deserves. It was far from perfect but it is worth seeing. I give it a 8 out of 10
