After N.O.R.E. was arrested over the weekend for an altercation at a Miami Fatburger, the Queens-bred rapper chopped it up with XXLmag.com to explain what really happened.

While Nore admits that he did get into a fight at the fast food restaurant, he doesn’t agree with the misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct charges. “I just want people to know that I actually really didn’t really do nothing,” he told XXL. “I think I did swing but it didn’t connect, so I think my charge should be attempted swinging.”

The said incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning (Feb. 23), when Nore says he entered Fatburger where a man started “provoking” him by aggressively asking him to have a drink. “Now this coward tells me to have a drink with him,” he recalled. “And I kept telling him I don’t drink [alcohol] and when I do drink, I don’t drink this shit what you drinking…He kept offering us, ‘have a drink with me, have a drink with me,’ somebody wound up throwing whatever he had offered to drink on him. I don’t know if it was me, I don’t know who it was, but I know this guy got something thrown on him.”

It was reported that Nore yelled at the man “Do you know who I am” after throwing the cup, but the rapper denies he ever made that statement. “That’s another part of the story that just really aggravated me,” he clarified. “I’m a person that hates fame. I’m not a person that goes out and says, ‘hey I’m Nore.’”

But it is undeniable that the incident brought unwarranted attention to the rapper, as the news was even featured on popular gossip blogger Perez Hilton’s website. Unfortunately it wasn’t the type of press the “Superthug” MC was looking for. “It’s pretty funny to me man, Perez Hilton - you know the site that you kinda wanna be on cause you know everybody in the world goes there and like checks it out - but at the end of the day when you got a fat, fat, fat gay guy calling you a douche bag, it’s not really cool,” he said. “I got twitter beef with Alchemist so now I’m gonna have internet beef with Perez Hilton.”

Nore has already bit back at celebrity blogger on his own turf. Last night, Nore put up a photoshopped image of Hilton with a black eye on his own blog, 57thave.com, using Hilton’s signature scribbling style, under the headline “Perez Hilton Was N.O.R.E.’s Victim In Fatburger Attack..LOL.”- Elan Mancini
