BLOG: Diddy Goes Full Minstrel For Obama

Wednesday Oct 29 12:01 AM CDT posted by Ron Mexico

    Meet Ciroc Obama.

This licker drankin’, chickin eatin’, sand-dancin’ buffoon was sent to pad the double-digit Obama lead we keep hearing about in TV analyst polls. [Blogger's Note: I'll believe it when me shit turns purple and smells like Rainbow sherbet.] Granted, I haven’t seen BET News since they chose to focus on Bathing Ape and Sean John sweatsuits during the Democratic National Convention, but hey… whatever gets the “urban” audience out and voting, right?

At least Ciroc’s in touch with his target base, whose primary concern clearly will be the long ass lines threatening to keep them from catching that #10 joint on 106 & Park. Plus, you know mama’nem cookin next Tuesday night. Can’t be spending all evening waiting in no damn line.

We only got patience on a line when they givin out that delicious grillin cheese block or when T.I. come down to the Tower Records or whatnot.

The personification of Ciroc Obama looks more like a terrible spoof created by one of the many Klan-inspired EweToubers than it does a heartfelt effort to incite the new junglebunny voter. I can see the guy who put the monkey in a suit now slapping his own head in disgust that he didn’t come up with this video tidbit first.

“See now, that’s not fuck’n fair. I woulda had come up with this here dancin’ turrist [terrorist] first. Damn naggers done got all the presidential masks is all. I couldn’t get my hands on one to make a spoof because the darkies’r already knockin off convenience stores and what have you.”

Ciroc is absolutely correct in asserting that Obama supporters should not feel confident in the polls. Niggas (by which I mean some of our white friends) say they’re voting for Obama until they get behind that curtain. He speaks well enough to receive praise in public, but not enough to really hand the big chair to. Fuck that.

The vlog’s message is actually what’s up for once, but way to negate it with jackassery. You can do a little tongue-in-chicken shuck out of excitement. Hell, I chicken noodle when appropriate from time to time. But a 2-minute full-on Ickey Shuffle is surely too much. I appreciate an Electric–excuse me–Election Slide as much as the next nigga, but damn, homie. That dance shook the message off the board like a Confederate Flag-skinned Etch-A-Sketch. It would have been great if you could–

Lady in crowd: *interrupting Ron Mexico* He’s a NIGGER!!!

    Well, I mean… Yes, but… Umm… As I was saying…

I don’t want to Ciroc anything that has to do with my vote, thank you. Niggas will Cranberry Ciroc the vote and end up turning that McCain lever. Besides, it’s okay to go partial minstrel. [See: Mos Def, 16 Blocks] It’s full-minstrel that causes problems come voting time. [See: Entire cast of Soul Plane]

ron you have me laughing to hard for 8am. you are right even some whites who are married to or dating(having unprotected sex with)black people will go to vote with an obama bumper sticker on their car and still go vote for mccain/palin because they want blacks in their beds and playing for their favorite sports team but not in a position of authority telling them what to do. a black president would be a nightmare for some whites to wake up to everyday. the polls said kerry won in 2004 and gore in 2000 so go vote dont trust the polls. also republicans on tv keep saying obama won so the only reason a republican would sound that soft is because they want dems to stay home and not vote because they think they have it wrapped up. get your butt out and vote for obama on tuesday or early if your state is still allowing it. reisha canidate or however you spell her name is on our espn list of decent looking women now ron i just saw her on espn2 and she isnt too bad.

Its extremely difficult to try to wrap your mind around the fact that the old guard is old enough, and the young guard responsible enough for us to move ahead and make history. The world is waiting for us to do this, and as soon as we do, we’re gonna get a pass from alot of people.
I’d like to think theres more people here that care about this country than they do their own bullshit racism, its probably stupid to do so, but I’m going to anyway.

But yes, Puffy, you are NOT helping, please SIT DOWN somewhere and cool on the Diddy Vlogs until Nov. 5, k?

    most def, mane.

there are more poor white people in this country than there are black people period. i understand that. i’d also like to believe there are more people who care about the health of the state than their own prejudices. hence obama’s message touching far more than just new black voters. it’s hard to believe that they make the difference.

i was just talking about a particular group of white folks that geico mentioned. by no means does that define all of our white friends. they’re still the majority and it’s still on them to put obama into office. which the polls are suggesting to be the case.

we’re just hoping that when they get to the real booth in their real towns next tuesday they’ll be consistent with what they’re telling the pollsters.

    Bobby,

You don’t really believe that do you? McCain or Obama, it doesn’t matter. The agenda is the same. The powers that be are the same…and control the policies…both domestic and foriegn. For the first time…we agree that this election means nothing with regards to the future of this country…a future looking rather dim.

    EReal says:

You know that Obama’s campaign was funded entirely by the people of this country right? No lobbyist or corporate or special interest group money. I mean I felt the same way, we’ve been jaded, disenfranchised even with the government. None of us really believe anymore that things can change, and its that kind of defeatist attitude that got GWB another 4 years in office. At some point you have to believe in something, and I beleive after 8 years of trickle down economics that only widened the economic gap in this country that something has to give, not to mention the foreign response that will happen.

You watch what happens if McCain gets elected bro, I bet you global markets will TANK. And if you agree with McCain insinuating that Obama is a terrorist, his disrespectfull, even borderline racist comments, his short temper and disgruntled attitude, even if you wanna see Sarah Palin as any type of representation of our country to foreign leaders, then more power to you homie. But I chose to go with not only the issues I most agreed with, but who I thought would be best for this country abroad, and best for the worlds view on us a whole, and I believe that person is Obama.

To each their own tho bro, all resepct due homie.

    Og Bobby J says:

predominatly with regards to Iran and Iraq.

I do not agree with Obama incentive ideas with regards to Iran. I think while Obamas ideas seem good in nature, I think it is naive. I think it should be made clear up front that we intend to use military force, in addition to economic sanctions, if they do not adhere to the nuclear policy of the UN and our allies.

As for Iraq, I do not agree with a deadline withdrawal, which Obama has shifted his position on over time. I think we should understand that democracy will not be effective in all environments, but cutting and running is not the answer. I think a shift in startegy should be our intial approach.

I also disagree with the gun control policies as well. I interpet the 2nd amendment to provide law abiding citizens the right to protect themselves. Obama is in support of gun rights, but accompanied with restrictions that I feel are unjust.

Just a lil off the top….im a ready for the excessive liberal response…..

    October 29th, 2008
    at 3:27 pm

    these posts are response says:

What exactly do you want from Iran that they are not doing that deserves us to go to war with them? How do you feel about Israel having nuclear weapons, in violation of the same principles you say Iran must adhere to? Do you support Israel’s tyranny against Palestinians?

Do you really think Obama’s policy vis a vis Iraq and Iran is any different then McCain’s? Do you think Clinton’s was different than Bush’s? Do you even understand who really controls Middle East Policy?

    No liberal response here…just honesty.

    October 30th, 2008
    at 10:03 am

    EReal says:

In regards to Iran, it has been the case over the last few years that incentives are an option that works, i.e. North Korea, now I don’t believe that Obama feels thats the ONLY option we have on the table, but this unilateral agression over the past 8 years has gotten us nowhere and cost us national security. Iran has enough issues with the EU and Isreal (a whole other subject) to be too worried about the US, and with two wars going on, how much agression can we bring in all reality besides parking up some warships to flex muscle. We have to find a way out of Iraq and Afganistan before we even think about agression elsewhere. A never ending war in Afganistan is what ended the USSR, and we need to been keen to that when we think about the money we’re pumping into Iraq. I know that there have been major strides in Iraq, and things are getting better, and I dont think we need to cut and run, but we do need an exit strategy, or Iraq will continue to rely on us. They need to stand on their own two, because we can’t pay for Bush’s mistake forever.

As far as gun control goes, Im all for restrictions on firearms. If you’re a good citizen, buying a weapon for self defense or hunting, IMO, you should be required to have a liscense, meaning you are trained to use the weapon, trained in saftey and cleaning of that weapon and you are a non violent offender that could possibly hurt someone with that weapon. If we had a paper trail on every weapon thats sold, we could solve alot more crimes. Im not sure which restrictions you feel are unjust, so I cant reply too thouroughly.

Just my POV, but I do agree that Im ready for this election to be over. Hope I didnt go too liberal on you, lol. (Im a registered republican)

i dunno why a white person would say they’re voting obama then change their mind in the booth. That’s not how racism works…

if anything, southern white ppl will claim to vote mccain to please their neighbours, but really vote for the black guy.

also, those polls don’t take into account new voters…ie half of obama’s black vote! which is even better for him.

So theo nly way to stop obama from winning now is if a sextape featuring barack, young jeezy and obama having a three way with superhead while neyo films/watches with pleasure were to surface on the internet

    It’s not Diddy’s fault…

…he’s been breaking out in these “minstrel moments” ever since he was in “A Raisin in the Sun”

I think it just really became a part of his shtick, the fact that he could bust out his inner minstrel show @any time.

If ya’ll have seen the play (or DVD adaptation like me), you know what I mean.
