It’s a symbiotic relation between MC’s & DJ’s we promote and elevate each other. To come off and basically call out DJ’s as if they are some kind of parasite comes off mad FRUITY. Ever since the beginning of Hip Hop, DJ’s have been instrumental to Hip Hop [No Pun Intended] without Kool Herc & Grandmaster Flash where would we be. Now I know this is aimed at Mixtape DJ’s but it still applies the same. Mixtapes are damn near free advertising [One that corporate america still can't assimilate -Thank God] for any artist trying to get noticed and signed and like that is there motivation for being on a mixtape, the DJ’s notoriety is also depending on finding the freshest artists to push units and demand more money for club & show appearances. The atttack and retaliation on DJ’s is reckless and doesn’t do either side any good [not to say that Weezy would convince anybody to stop buying mixtapes].
