Also, the TV shows and movies presented on TV bleep out ‘curse’ words, but the ‘N’ word is never bleeped. Why is that? We can hear it being used in a racist way by white people on the TV every day, but we cannot hear or see it from a black man on the radio or music store. That’s just crazy. I understand the importance of parental guidance, I really do, but it should be across the board in both TV and radio, being they are the easisest ways for children and adolescents to obtain information… unfortunately. If a show has a mature of pg14 rating, then the ‘N’ word should be treated like it is when a song is played on the radio. No ifs, ands, or buts. Of course, the argument would be that it would impede artistic expression and ruin the flow of the tale, but isn’t it the same for a music track….?
