The Dog has been caught. DMX was arrested yesterday by Arizona police after authorities viewed video of the rapper driving 114 mph on a local highway.
X was charged with reckless driving, racing on a highway, three counts of criminal speed, two counts of endangerment, and driving with a suspended license.
Cameras caught DMX on January 21. In a matter of minutes, according to police, the former Ruff Ryders star was clocked driving at speeds of 100, 114, and 101 miles per hour, by various monitors.
“We have made several arrests in the last few months of those people who flagrantly violate the speed limit and therefore endanger the lives of everyone else on the road, ” an Arizona police spokesman said in a statement, citing the rapper was not signaled out because of his notoriety.
Authorities said DMX was “cooperative” during the procedure. X has since been released on bail. No court date has been set as of press time. –Jayson Rodriguez
