Rick Ross will accompany legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr. into the ring this Saturday night (January 19) for his fight against Felix “Tito” Trinidad. The Miami MC is teaming up with Jones to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Jones has a relative who is suffering from the disease, and he hopes that Ross’ participation will raise awareness and help him to reach his goal of $1 million in donations. Jones and Trinidad have each pledged $50,000 to the charity, and promoter Don King is also kicking in $100,000. Ross will perform his new single “Boss” from his upcoming album Trilla, due out March 11. The fight airs on HBO Pay-Per-View on Saturday at 9:00 p.m.

I wanna say Big Ups to them for donating to breast cancer survivors. Its good for giving back but it might not be best for Roy’s career the way he’s doing it. Now hear me out, It may jusy be me but if I recall almost everytime somebody gets brought out to the ring by a rapper(or are in a lot of videos)they end up losing. Look at the examples: Roy Jones Jr, Mr. Magic brought him out the Glenn Johnson fight and got knocked out(and he was in a lot of videos). Corey Spinks, Nelly brought him out in the Zab Judah fight and got knocked out. Vernon forest after he beat Sugar Shane he was in the Ying Yang Twins(salt shaker) video. He got knocked out by Ricardo Miorga the next fight. Winky Wright was in The Touch It remix video and the 50 Cent Out of Control video and G Unit commercials and he lost to Bernard Hopkins. The only exception to this rule is Floyd Mayweather(maybe because its only oooooooonnnnne Mayweather!). This is just an observation of mine but maybe bozers need to just stay focused on the fight cuz the ones that do the extra entertaining shit end up getting they ass whooped. Just an observation. Donations good look, Rappers with the Boxers at the fight maybe not so good. Think about it.
