With the release of his new album, Ear Drum, on August 21, Brooklyn’s Talib Kweli is collaborating with Eventful Demand for a new contest that will allow fans to vote on which five colleges he will perform at for his 2007/2008 tour. The contest is being held at www.eventful.com/talibkweli through October 3 and fans can place their vote on which university Kweli should attend during his upcoming tour. The five colleges that receive the most votes will be added to his itinerary. “I live on the road. I’m constantly on tour and I really love feeding off the energy of my fans at all my shows,” Kweli says. “Some of my favorite shows of all time have been at colleges. So when Eventful brought this to my attention, I immediately became interested, especially since a lot of college kids have been hittin’ me up about playing at their university. This gives them the opportunity to make it happen for themselves.”
