Man, I am glad to hear some positive feedback about Talib’s new album. I haven’t really heard any of the tracks but if it is in the same realm as Reflection Eternal then I know it will be some good music.

Talib Kweli album is going to be hot. The man is an amazing rapper. Anyone who has heard him rap live will tell you, he’s a real emcee and doesn’t need all the extra production magic to make him sound good. I hope his album does well.

I think the Prodigy album is mostly carried by the production, although P is very good at painting pictures with his lyrics, it’s just seems like he’s not trying as hard, but whatever it’s dope. The Evidence, Brother Ali, and KRS albums are all dope, the Pharohe album would definitley be better with good beats, but nothing will top his Organized Konfusion stuff, and I haven’t heard Black Milk but I will definitley check for that. I can’t wait for LOL to pop up and discredit my opinion due to my whiteness.

I remember when the Black Milk album came out you said you liked it more than any record in the past few years. But now you say you like the Red and the El-P albums more, so does that mean ’07s been a better year in rap than the last two years combined?

The Prodigy album is really good, I was actually bumping “NY Shit” an hour ago.

KRS-ONE sucks, so does the Prodigy album. I loved Mobb Deep (nullus) but P sounds like the sickle cell medecine is starting to make him retarded. His rhymes suck really bad on this album but the Alchemist beats are nice. The rest of the selections arent bad though. I guess Rap just isnt what it used to be, or at least hasnt been for the last 2 years.

Being fairly white myself, I can tell you that this is definitely a cracka-ass-cracka list of emcees and albums. Not that any of them are sellouts or cater to white people, but I have been to a lot of hip-hop shows and most of the crowds for these artists are white. But then again, most of the country is white, so whatever. But I am a fan of a lot of ignorant music too and I must say that it has been a bad year for ignorant rap. The new Turf Talk & Messy Slick albums are fire, Young Buck was pretty good, Dj Khaled had some nice joints, but other than that there hasnt been much to celebrate.
