THat will fuck his second week sales up, thats why. So yeah 50 cent messed up big time. He’s released two unsuccesful singles which nobody likes. I think this album will perform poorly compared to his previous work. There is no way he is going to record new material that will take the world by storm in that short space of time. Good music takes time and pushing his album back by just over 2 months is not gonna do much for his sales. He fell off this time round but maybe he’ll step it up on his next LP after this. For get 50 this year. To many underdogs are making good music. TI’s singles are not bad. Kanye’s first single is good. And let’s not forget lil weezy’s highly anticipated Tha Carter 3. The fact is Curtis fell off for this album. His first two singles are straight wack even as mixtape material. His ego got to him now he realises that people like him for his good music not for his name alone.

I don’t think he is going to chart well for his standards this album round. Even if he is pushing his album back to make new material there is no way he is going to have a decent album ready in just two and a half months. There is too much competition for him to be putting out this kind of garbage. TI’s first two singles are not bad especially that Big Shit Poppin track. I’ll put it out there if Warner really offering 50 95 million for four albums Interscope just trying to kill any buzz he has so he won’t do 50 cent numbers. If he doesn’t do his usual numbers then no one is going to offer him that type of money and he’ll stay. I could see pushing it back for two reasons. Straight to the bank is number 30 on the hot 100 charts, 16th top 40 single in four years, and 50 always sells big overseas. Get rich sold 12, 7 million here, million overseas and the Massacre did 9.8, 4 million here.

I think it’s all in a name. “Get Rich or Die Trying” was some do or die shit for him. He knew that all of that hype surrounding him back in 02-03 would have made him the new canibus of hip-hop if his album ended up being shitty. Honestly speaking, “The Massacre” didn’t really have any good songs on it (Ryder Music and Baltimore Love Thing maybe….but they weren’t singles), so he moved off the strength of being 50 Cent. It sold pretty good in comparison to other shit that came out in 2005, but it sold a couple million less than ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ which is a very substansial drop. The problem was that he didn’t even try to make ‘The Masscre’ a better album than “Get Rich…”. Candy Shop was a flop in comparison to In Da Club. That shit really hurt him for the longrun. Two years later (here in 2007), I don’t think the average joe or hoe cares too much about a 50 Cent song if it isn’t reminiscent or better than “In Da Club”. As a person who is not really a fan of 50 Cent, the songs that I have heard off the album have been pretty good (not the big singles)so far, but they just aren’t great. I haven’t heard anything that convinces me that ‘Curtis’ shouldn’t just be called “The Massacre 2″ though. Also, the fact that this shit is supposed to be a double CD says a whole lot also. He might be able to sell 2 million, but as a result of that… he would be able to say that he went 4x Platinum so it can appear that he is still on top for the next time he plans to drop an album. As far as his beef with Cam’ron, I mean…I liked Cam’rons song better..but I mean, he’s Cam’ron. Cam’ron isn’t really a worthy opponent for 50 Cent. It doesn’t even have anything to do with skills, Cam is just a D grade celebrity and 50 Cent will be more revered 15 years from now than Cam’ron ever was during his peak (if he ever had a peak). The fact that my mother and father have never heard of Cam’ron, but they know who 50 Cent is and can name at least one of his songs says a whole lot. 50 could only really be taken seriously by folks if he ended The Game’s career. Popping shit at Cam and a corporate bufoon like Master P just doesn’t move anyone. Not to endorse beef or anything, but the fact that no one in 50 Cent’s camp came close to putting out anything as good as The Game’s “Doctor’s Advocate” album makes 50 look weak as fuck to a lot of folks. The Game also ended up going platinum, stepped up his flow and lyric game, no 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, or Aftermath involvement (other than Busta Rhymes), while Young Buck, Mobb Deep, Yayo, and Lloyd Banks ended up dropping bricks. Even with all the dumb shit The Game says and does, and everyone knowing that he’s a fake blood….One Blood and Wouldn’t Get Far are dope ass songs and he doesn’t look as wack as them G-Unit folks. People gon buy his shit as long as he keeps coimg with stuff like that. In closing, 50 pushing his shit back to September won’t help matters much unless he just creates another “In Da Club”, and I can’t see that happening.
