XXL Class of ‘09 Freshman B.o.B. took his Shootin’ for Stars tour to the University of Missouri last night (October 6) and gave the sold-out college crowd a show they won’t soon forget. After rocking the University’s Jesse Hall, the chart-topping newcomer confirmed that he has begun work on the follow-up to his chart-topping debut, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.

Although the ATLien declined to share the album’s title or possible features, he did promise to outdo his first solo effort, which debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 last April. “I will not release the album unless it’s better than the last album.”

His insistence on perfection was on display for the show, which featured the Georgia native switching effortlessly between energetic renditions of #1 hits (“Nothin’ On You,” “Airplanes”) and underground favorites (“Haterz Everywhere”). Backed by a full band, back-up vocalists and dancers, Grand Hustle’s #1 rookie gave fans almost an hour of his surprisingly deep catalog. The diverse set’s most intimate moment came when he returned to the stage behind a keyboard to give an encore performance of his haunting “Ghost in the Machine.”

Internet favorite XV opened the show with cuts from his recently released Vizzy Zone mixtape.
