Kanye to Appear on ‘SNL,’ Jay-Z & Coldplay Plan NYE Concert

XXL’s new cover boy Kanye West will be making his way back to the small screen as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, reports Entertainment Weekly. The news may surprise fans, since the Luis Vuitton Don made it publicly clear he’s not a big fan of the show, after they poked fun of his notorious interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV VMAs. On "Power," his first official single from his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled, album, he raps “Fuck SNL and the whole cast/tell them Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass/more specifically they can kiss my asshole.” West will be appearing on SNL on October 2

Jay-Z and buddy Chris Martin will be sharing a stage this New Years Eve in Las Vegas. BBC’s Newsbeat has confirmed that Hov and Coldplay will have solo sets during a three-day concert event celebrating the opening of the Cosmopolitan Casino and Resort. The Brooklyn mega-star recently brought out Martin at his Home and Home tour stop at Yankee Stadium.

In related news, Jay recently sat down with multi-billionaire Warren Buffet and magazine publisher Steve Forbes in Omaha’s Hollywood Diner, according to the city’s World-Herald.
