Hip-hop has officially hijacked The Billboard 200, with three of its biggest stars occupying the top three spots.

Standing strong at No. 1 for the third week in a row is Eminem’s Recovery. The Shady one picked up an additional 229,300 units this week, after going platinum last Wednesday. According to Nielsen SoundScan Em’s seventh solo record currently has a tally of 1,287,000. The Detroit lyricist’s last album, Relapse,also reached the double platinum mark this sales cycle.

Sitting comfortably at No. 2 is Drake’s Thank Me Later. The T.Dot native’s disc generated 73,900 in sales this go-round. After four weeks, Drizzy’s total numbers equal 782,800.

Walking onto the charts at No. 3 is Sir Luscious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty, Big Boi’s long delayed solo album. The OutKast MC had an impressive debut week, moving 62,400 CDs off the shelf.

While hip-hop has the first three slots on lock, another rap release doesn’t show up until the No. 24 mark. The Black Eyed Peas hold onto this position for the second week in a row, after selling 14,300 copies of their 2009 LP, The E.N.D. In their 57th week, the will.i.am and company’s total stats stand at 2,654,500.

Rounding out the Top 40 is The Roots and B.o.B. How to Get Over, the Roots’ ninth studio album, landed at No. 25 this sales cycle, selling 13,800 discs. Overall the group got over with 86,000 units sold thus far. B.o.B. sits three spots down at No. 28. Fans of the ATLien copped 12,900 copies of The Adventures of Bobby Ray this week, bringing his total sales to 296,000.

Just missing the Top 40 was New Orleans vet, Juvenile. The former Hot Boy’s new album, Beast Mode, debuted at No. 58 with 6,400 in sales in his first week.
