So I recently learned about Soulja Boy’s Comment about the slave masters. I think it went something like this; “Shout out to the slave masters, without them we’d still be in Africa. We wouldn’t be here to get ice and tattoos.”

Soulja Boy or boy Soulja souljah boy. I like you Soulja Boy, but boy have you crossed the line.

When he was asked how he feels about people calling him ignorant about the comments, he responded by saying paraphrased: most of those people talking are older then me and I get more money then them.

Alright Soulja Boy I’ll keep this brief, cause i have work to do.

This is why you’re ignorant.

Working hard to buy ice is different from owning ice for people to buy, follow me student I’ll school you.

If you were still in Africa, you would probably be the supplier of the ice to the guy that you bought it from. Where do you think the ice came from. You wouldn’t have to work as hard or put up with all of the abuse you put up with to get the money to buy the ice.

If you were still in Africa, you’d probably be richer then you are now, because you would probably be amongst the biggest supplier of the worlds goods and resources. Because you would own it, it would be right in your back yard. Gold, diamond, minerals, the natural resources found in cell phones etc would be yours to set a price for.

Let me tell you what happened instead; the slave master came in, tied you up, raped your mother, sister, and took you away from all of your resources. They brought you here and for years told you that you weren’t equal to them; that you were only 1/3 of a human being. By the time they were done, your spirit was so broken, you couldn’t tell your face from your ass.

Guess what happened next. Remember that scene in Coming to America where the thieves stole their stuff and then later came back to sell it to them, YES! Soulja Boy that’s what began to happen. They stole your goods and then started selling it back to you. You have to work hard to get money just to buy back what belongs to you in the first place.

Your spirits are so broken, you don’t even recognize your own goods. You don’t even recognize the fabrics you used to own. Now they’re waving it in front of you and you’re all goggly eyed thinking it’s something new, but it’s not Soulja Boy, it’s your own stuff they selling to you. Wake up and smell the damn coffee my brother.

Like I said, I like you Soulja boy, you’re young talented and smart. You’ve found a way to make money and buy back your own stuff, how ever, don’t be mad when people call you ignorant because you are; based on the comment that you made.

I’m not calling you out of your name or bashing you in this note. I simply want to say, yes they have a point when they call you ignorant. The evidence shows it.

But it’s not totally your fault. I also blame your handlers. Cause if they took the time to educate you, you probably would be more careful about what you say. Maybe they were brought up just like you, to believe that America has racism but never really understood why there is racism and why your people were taken away from their land.

It’s not enough to travel to South Africa for a concert and stay in the finest hotel there, you have to read the history of the people, understand the locals then and only then would you apologize for your misguided comment. You’re young and have time, don’t let your riches blind you from your past, open your eyes and claim hour stuff. Don’t work hard to buy it back, demand it back.
