Gucci Mane was sent back to jail for one year on Friday for failing to complete probation regulations, specifically a required number of community service hours.

According to Fox 5 in Atlanta, the rapper appeared in court for a probation violation hearing. Probation officials said the rapper had only completed 25 hours of community service since he was released from prison in 2005. The rapper was required to complete 600 hours stemming from his conviction on assault charges. The rapper was also recently arrested for driving under the influence.

The judge revoked Gucci Mane's probation status and ordered him back to jail. The rapper will have to serve one year in prison and upon his release he will still be required to complete two and a half years of probation and the 600 hours of community service.--LaTisha Robbins
