The Associated Press reports that Judge Shawndya Simpson denied a request from prosecutors to charge Busta for a machete that police found in the back seat of his SUV when he was arrested on August 21 following his performance at the Heineken Amsterjam concert on New York's Randall Island. Busta, whose real name is Trevor Smith, stands accused of assaulting a fan in Chelsea after the man inadvertently spit on his SUV. He is due back in court on December 11th.
