Now JD is responsible for some wack azz hip hop being distributed, but no one can deny his golden touch for R&B. Its not his fault Janet’s album didnt really make it, hell, what has she done to put herself out there for real? Yeah, she is fine as fuck, no doubt, but that dont equal sales. He was able to help LL because LL isnt much hard core hip hop. He was able to help Mariah becasue she can actually sing. You are misinformed. Youngsters dictate style and what music is popular. The formula Janet used in the past was perfect for her then, but now that she is older and it just aint workin’. She could put out 10 albums and each one would sell less and less (number ten might not sell a single copy..Lol.) Kids buy image, music, looks, and choreography. She still looks good but her age keeps her from appealing to kids. She really doesn’t have a market because she is not a vocalist so older people won’t buy her music. Whitney Houston, for example, is an artist that could come back given the right situation. Crackhead or not she has the best voice I have ever heard and she appeals to all ages and races.

I agree Gutta. He shouldn’t have given up that much cake for a broad–she wouldn’t do it for him. She probably with him just because of his success with artists anyway. She aint movin’ records now because she’s trying to appeal to the same age group as she did 20 years ago; and they aint feelin’ her. She never could sing but she sold records off her image and it was helped out by the dancing and videos. Kids don’t want to dress and dance like their mommas and the old heads aint feeling her because of her lack of vocal talent. She shouldn’t blame promotion–her name is so big that when she drops everyone knows. She might try entertaining the fact that her music just sucks.
