jadakiss.jpgOn Saturday (October 4), at his arraignment on third degree felony weapons charges, Yonkers, NY MC Jadakiss was denied bail and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, New York. The rapper was arrested early Saturday morning when police stopped a vehicle he was riding in with three other men. A subsequent search turned up a loaded handgun, which the officers later determined was stolen. The four men were also charged with fourth degree possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana. The Journal News of Westchester quoted Yonkers Detective Sgt. Joseph Pietropaolo as saying, “They’re all Yonkers residents, and they’re all remanded without bail to the county jail...this is all pending more investigation.” The driver of the vehicle, Darnell Frazier, was also charged with driving without a valid license and while under the influence of drugs. According to reports, Frazier was released from state prison last year after serving out a two-to-four-year sentence for criminally negligent homicide. He was originally sentenced to second-degree murder for the 2001 fatal stabbing of a Yonkers man but an appellate court later overturned the sentence.
