DMX Sued by Child’s Mother for Defamation

DMX is being sued for $6 million by the mother of his two-year-old son, the same woman that he famously claimed raped him one night after a video shoot. According to The Washington Post, Monique Wayne filed suit against the rapper in Maryland's Prince George's County Circuit Court Yesterday (October 12), alleging defamation, false statements and bringing "unreasonable publicity" to her personal life. Wayne says that the relationship she had with DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was completely consensual and that they went out several times. In an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine earlier this year, Simmons claimed that the woman forced herself on him while he was sleeping in a hotel room. Wayne's attorney, Stephanie Moran, commented, "Miss Wayne's been completely ostracized...She's had to answer questions from friends and family members. You have reporters as far away as Ireland commenting on this." In 2004, Wayne won a paternity suit against Simmons after DNA evidence proved that he was the child's father. He was ordered to pay her $5,000 a month in child support.
