I agree some of the south needs to be a whole new category. I’m an east coast fan, and although I don’t hate the south, most of the lyrics are garbage, but the beats are tight. And now I’m like which is worse, preaching violence or preaching ignorance and throwing yourselves out there making a fool out of our people with your 24″ rims and all the ignorance. Be it east west, south or midwest, all that ignorance and violence makes our beautiful black people look ognorant and thats why we get no respect in society, and look at how we act in public, can’t we act like civilized responsible adults with some manners, morals and ethics. I’m veering from my point. I think nas is the deepest most real rapper out. I can’t think of anyone from south or west or even east that can match his lyrical poetry and talemt. Anyone can rap about rims paint woodgrain and make it rhyme with random words. Where are the real lyricaly talented rappers? and I bet no cat from the south can ever match cannibus on a freestyle battle or eminen for that matter. People like ll cool J bring a positive image for black folk, and while 2 pac spoke alot of truth he certainly didn’t lead by example. All the charges shooting at cops, I mean come on, can’t we act right, follow rules and be responsible members of society instead of acting like a bunch of damn crazy animals. Much love to the south, and they are getting better lyrics. there is alot of ignorant stuff on the radio they arent going to play the real lyrical stuff because this new generation don’t want to hear that they thrive on the ignorant teachings of these newer rappers who have no sense of purpose of self, only corrupting minds with ignorance to make their pockets fat. why do you think rappers like nas, method man don’t do alot of commercial stuff? they rap for the right reasons, love of hip hop. I also am a big fan of outkast, goodie mob and roots. ludacris is real catchy with the metaphors, although a little overdone at times. never the less, he is tight, and we can’t forget ugk and scarface.
