dmx3.jpgDMX’s sixth studio LP, Year of The Dog...Again, will debut in the number two spot on the charts this week, with around 126,000 units sold. This is a first for the rapper, whose previous five albums have all debuted at number one after their first week’s sales. X was beaten out by the latest installment of the Now That's What I Call Music pop compilation, which barely edged him out with slightly more than 127,000 copies scanned. Although this is still a relatively good debut for the recent Sony signee, it represents a huge drop from his customary first week numbers. His previous few albums moved over 300,000 copies in their first weeks in stores. Elsewhere on the charts, Gnarls Barkley is expected to sink a few spots after their debut, St. Elsewhere, moved 53,000 units.
