Dallas Rapper Twisted Black Inks Deal with TVT

According to representatives of the powerhouse indie label, TVT Records recently signed a deal with Dallas rapper Twisted Black to distribute his solo material. Black, while a member of ’90s group One Gud Cide, found local success with the group’s debut Look What The Streets Made. For the follow-up, the group signed with Suave House/Universal, but Black was locked up during the album’s promotion. In recent years, Black has been focusing on his solo career, which led him to TVT. “This is my realest record yet and TVT is the realest label out there, so we had to come together for new album,” said Twisted Black in a statement. “They’re known for their power with the Dirty South. We’re about to show the world that there’s more to Texas than Houston.”
