playskillz.jpgDallas-based production duo Play-N-Skillz, the masterminds behind Chamillionaire’s smash single “Ridin’,” have reportedly inked a deal with Asylum records for their production company and label G4 Records. The two brothers, who have been making noise on the underground scene in Texas for the last couple of years, started out spinning records in clubs around the Dallas area and credit Houston artist Lil Flip as a major influence on their path to stardom. After initially attracting attention with their work on Flip’s 2004 album U Gotta Feel Me, Play-N-Skillz put together their major label debut, The Process on Universal/Motown. Determined to capitalize off the buzz they’re enjoying from “Ridin’,” which is currently the #1 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 Pop chart, the pair recently made their acting debut in the MTV Films/Paramount movie All You’ve Got and will be opening their own nightclub in Dallas later on this month. The duo are also poised to release their second studio LP, The Titanic, sometime this Fall and are currently in the studio working on tracks for the likes of Slim Thug, Memphis Bleek and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
