kanye_press.jpgKanye West was among the biggest winners at the sixth annual BET Awards last night (June 27) at a ceremony held in LA’s Shrine Auditorium. The Chicago rapper/producer’s hit video “Gold Digger” (featuring Jamie Foxx) took home trophies for Video of the Year and Best Collaboration. Other hip-hop honorees included T.I., who won for best male Hip-Hop Artist and Missy Elliott, who won for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. The show also featured performances by T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes, who brought out an all-star lineup to perform “Touch It (Remix),” including Eminem. The Detroit MC’s freestyle at the end of “Touch It” marked his first major public appearance since the death of his right-hand man, Proof, earlier this year.
