snoop.jpgRichard Monroe II, from Kent, WA, has filed a lawsuit against Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillenger, Soopafly and The Game after he was attacked at a May 2005 concert at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn. In the suit, Monroe claims he was “dragged, kicked, punched, jumped and otherwise severely beaten” onstage. He alleges that he accepted an “open invite” to come on stage, at which point he attempted to hug Snoop while he performed “Gin & Juice.” Monroe alleges he was then grabbed by Snoop’s bodyguards and beaten unconscious by a group of men, including various rappers and Soopafly. Snoop and The Game were included in the suit for “doing nothing to stop” the suit. Monroe is seeking $22 million in punitive and compensatory damages for assault, battery, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. A hearing has been set for July 31.
