I have lived in Miami all of my 52 years. The reason I am writing you is because of Movies such as Boys In The Hood and all the other movies that may have something to do with Black on Black Crime. I was wondering if it is possible for you to come up with a movie that has some positive points. Here in Miami, every day someones child, husband, father, brother and whom ever else is being murdered for things as simple as stepping on someone’s shoe, being with the wrong person, the Rims on a car and any other petty thing you can imagine. I know that you have an image to keep up however, I also know that you are not an ignorant Man and you are a blessed Man. Would you consider doing a movie that would possibly help take some of the guns out of these young people hands and maybe, just maybe you save someones life. My only son was murdered in January, to this day, I have no idea why or who could have hated my son so much to take his life. He was a Barber, always worked hard for the things he wanted never took anything from anyone, and often did things for people without hesitation, my heart is still bleeding but, God did give me 37 good years with my son. Vernon was his name and he was all I had. So I am not so much speaking for myself, but for the many parents that have small children that are being struck down by these so called wanna be’s who more than likely can’t spell their own names. If I were a person with little concern for human life, I would not call out to anyone for help but, because I am not a typical person, I have the need and an urge to call out for help. Please do something to let these uneducated people know that they have the wrong perception of those old movies, Please, I beg of you for the Children of the future. They have no chance without People like Yourself.
