2Pac’s Death to Be Remembered in Wax Exhibit Unveiling
Tomorrow (April 5), Tupac Shakur’s untimely death will be remembered when Madame Tussards Las Vegas wax museum unveils its new “Tupac Eternal” exhibit. The wax sculpture, which depicts a shirtless ’Pac wearing a bandanna and proudly showing off his tattoos, was created from hundreds of photographs and dimensions provided by the late rapper’s mother, Afeni Shakur. The exhibit hopes to be a “full sensory experience,” with Shakur’s music playing a central role. A special opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Venetian Hotel. After it is displayed in Vegas, the statue will be exhibited in galleries in New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and London before stopping at Atlanta’s Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts later this year. September will mark the ten year anniversary of 2Pac’s death.
