Today In Hip-Hop: Run-DMC Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

On this day, April 4th, in hip-hop history... 2009: Run-DMC is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nominated in 2008, the Hollis, Queens trio became the second hip-hop act to be inducted into the organization after Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in 2007. Other inductees that year included Metallica, Jeff Beck, Little Anthony and the Imperials and Bobby Womack. Run-DMC is widely considered one of hip-hop's most influential and celebrated acts.
